The Lalit Hotel brings Indian luxury to London Bridge

An exciting addition is set to spice up London Bridge’s hospitality offering this month, in the form of a new boutique hotel on Tooley Street. Formely St Olave’s Grammar School, the first outpost of the highly revered LaLiT brand will combine quintessential British charm with luxury Indian service.

The hotel’s 70 rooms are each unique in layout and decorated with bespoke Indian Art and traditional materials. Room options range from the ‘cosy classroom’ (a nod to the building’s heritage) to the Lalit Legacy Suite, situated in the former headmaster’s study.

The majestic Great Hall will house the award winning Pan Indian restaurant Baluchi, serving a contemporary take on classic multi-regional Indian dishes, all made with organic ingredients. The Nannery is an integral part of the restaurant – this bread bar will serve traditional Indian breads such as roti and kulchi, paired with carefully curated wines. The Great Hall also features a mezzanine level and will serve both Indian and traditional afternoon tea. Guests with a penchant for whisky and cognac can relax in the Headmaster’s Room, while the Teacher’s Room is a haven for cocktail and champagne lovers, complete with a ceiling made entirely of mother-of-pearl.

Other facilities include a 24 hour access gym, two meeting/ private dining rooms and an award winning spa. The Rejuve-Spa will offer holistic experiences combining eastern and western therapies to take guests on a journey of relaxation and wellness.

The LaLiT London will be taking bookings from the 15th February 2017, with room rates starting at £390.
