Join The Elmore Jam at Spianata Bakery for a special Harlot Supper Club showcasing Zac Whittle’s seasonal five course menu. Beatriz Mihazes Rio Azul | From 18th April | White Cube Bermondsey

White Cube Bermondsey present a large-scale exhibition of works by Beatriz Milhazes. This exhibition foregrounds Milhazes’ explorations in a variety of media including painting, installation, sculpture and collage and her first ever tapestry: a unique, major work created especially for the show.

5 Easy Pieces | 27th – 28th April | Unicorn Theatre

Since 2012, the Unicorn has programmed a strand of work for adults that invites us to think about how children experience our society. This year’s show by highly regarded and controversial Swiss director, Milo Rau, deals with some of our greatest fears and taboos. In Five Easy Pieces, seven children aged 9 – 14 recreate the interviews and statements of those affected by Marc Dutroux, Belgium’s notorious serial killer.



Hiver Spring Party | 6th April | Hiver Beers Arch

Spring is upon us along with the arrival of flowers in bloom and bees a-buzzing, Hiver Beers will be celebrating the first of their limited edition seasonal beers; The Honey Gose. Join them at the Hiver arch, (just past Maltby St Market) for a Spring party with live music, street-food and workshops.

A Political History of the Human Corpse | 26th April | The Old Operating Theatre

The Old Operating Theatre & Herb Garret hosts a talk by author Ruth Richardson on the topic of death and the body in 19th century England. Ruth analyses the subject drawing on many disciplines to explore the fundamental issues of folklore and science, life and death and the political struggles surrounding ownership of the body in the 19th century.
