Virtual Reality Experience | The View from The Shard | Throughout August

 This summer, The View from The Shard are introducing two new exhilarating Virtual Reality experiences on their open-air Skydeck. For a limited time, you’ll be able to test your balance on ‘Vertigo’ or enjoy the thrill of ‘The Slide’ travelling at up to 100 miles per hour… if you dare!

 

The Science Gallery London: BLOOD | Various Locations in London Bridge | Throughout August

 The Science Gallery’s new season, BLOOD: Life Uncut features installations in three different venues around London Bridge that will reveal the essential, expressive and the visceral nature of blood, by telling personal and provocative stories of this vital, life-affirming fluid that connects us all.

 

Comida Fest | Potters Fields Park | 12th & 13th August | FREE

The first all Latin American street food festival in London comes to Potters Fields Park for the first time in 2017.

Comida Fest’s team of curators have sourced out the best of Latin American street traders in London. FREE ENTRY with the best food and drinks, loads of kids and families activities, drinks masterclasses, dance workshops, bands and DJs!

 

London Bridge City Summer Festival: Theatre Season | The Scoop | 9th August – 3rd September

For the 14th season of award-winning, free, open-air theatre at The Scoop, Gods and Monsters present an epic, action packed production of one of the world’s greatest adventure stories, THE ODYSSEY.

 

Family Tours of Tower Bridge | Tower Bridge Exhibition | Throughout August

Tower Bridge are offering something extra for families this summer with their fun and interactive family tours.

Tours will be running on Tuesday mornings throughout the school holidays and will help families discover more about the history of Tower Bridge and how it works. Run by experienced members of the learning team, tours are designed for children age 6 to 14.

Dates: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th August

 

 

Draw like a Designer @ Fashion & Textile Museum | Wednesday 16 August  | 11:30am and 2pm

This is a beginner’s step-by-step guide to drawing like a fashion designer. Learn how to create a fashion template or croquis, including fashion proportions and how to turn a stick figure into a full figure. Take inspiration from the current exhibition and start to develop your own collection, including complete outfits and seasonal looks. Suitable for ages 12+

 

Baby Show  | Unicorn Theatre | Until August 19th

Baby Show is a sensory performance with captivating images and intriguing sounds that will keep your little ones rapt. This brand new show is a great first trip to theatre for the really young.
