Borders of Shad Thames: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

This walking tour of the historic riverside area of Shad Thames is part of London Festival of Architecture 2019, exploring the festival’s theme of boundaries. 

The walk begins at The Dixon Hotel with complimentary refreshments and an introduction to the area, and hear about converting this former Magistrates Court and Police Station into a leading-edge hotel. The group will then head off on foot, stopping at Tower Bridge Court (TBC) to learn about the upcoming refurbishment of this office building. The walk continues looking at private and public spaces along the backstreets and waterside, ending with a visit to Anise Gallery to see their LFA photography exhibition Every Building on the Old Kent Road 2019.
