Get creative this Christmas holiday and make your own colourful pompom decorations under the expert guidance of luxury knitwear designer Katie Jones. In this 1.5 hour session get inventive with brightly coloured wool to make charming tree ornaments, fanciful mini wreaths and whimsical tree toppers.
The class is intended to be relaxed and friendly session, and all materials and equipment are provided.
Level: No previous experience is necessary.
Suitable for ages 12 and upwards (or younger if accompanied by an adult).
Tutor Katie Jones is a luxury knitwear designer who hand produces pieces in London that rework designer surplus and British made product into high fashion. She was shortlisted for The Observer’s Ethical Awards in 2014 for her sustainable and ethical designs. Gathering a wide range of influences, her hand made collections embrace colour, texture and fun. Katie Jones studied her MA in Fashion Knitwear at Central Saint Martins under Louise Wilson. After working with John Galliano, Diane Von Furstenberg, Mark Fast and Romance was Born, Katie Jones completed her first solo collection for SS14. Her AW14 and SS15 collections were shown at London Showrooms with The British Fashion Councils, Estethica Emerging Talents.
