Situated in the heart of vibrant Bermondsey Street, almost opposite Zandra Rhodes’ Fashion and Textile Museum, Peter Layton’s gallery offers a light spacious area for the display of contemporary glass.
Throughout the year the gallery hosts exciting displays of work by Peter Layton and his team. The gallery provides a context for glass art, seeking to broaden public awareness of the medium, by hosting regular solo and group exhibitions of British and international studio glass.
The glowing furnaces are visible from the gallery entrance, and visitors can wander to the rear of the gallery to a viewing area, to watch the ancient craft of glassblowing and browse amongst the ‘studio’ pieces displayed there.
All work is for sale and information on the artists and their work is available.
