Make Music Day

June 21, 2017 - June 21, 2017

Make Music Day aims to make the world a stage, with more than 750 cities around the world making music together on the summer solstice. Live musical performances will be taking place in areas across London throughout the day, including London Bridge.

At London Bridge Station:
  • Performances throughout the day at London Bridge station from 9am to 9pm, including jazz, folk, classical and pop.
  • Rush Hour Come and Sing event at 5.30pm. It will be led by the Choir with No Name, a choir for people who have experienced homelessness. They will sing popular summer classics, including the Make Music Day song Bring me Sunshine. We will be encouraging passers by to join in.
At Redcross Gardens
Ukulele Alfresco Strum-Along at Redcross Gardens at 1pm. This will be led by Lorraine Bow of Uklulele Wednesdays. Local residents, workers and anyone else in the area can bring their ukuleles for a strum-along at lunchtime in this tranquil community garden.
