Location: Old Operating Theatre Museum
April 21, 2023 - April 21, 2023
The Old Operating Theatre reopens its doors on Friday 21st April at 10.30am.
It will be FREE ENTRY all day, so mark the date in your diaries and bring along family and friends! If you visit on Friday 21st April, you’ll also get to meet one of St Thomas’ Hospital’s historical surgeons from 1822, Mr Green!
The reopening of the Museum also marks the start of our exciting new Local Artists Exhibition featuring 20 original visual artworks from innovative and local artists, displayed amongst the Museum’s medical historical collection. Each artist was asked to respond to one of two themes, Herbal Histories, which is the Museum’s theme for 2023, or Every Body Has A Medical History, which is always a core part of the overarching approach the Museum takes to representation and storytelling.
The exhibition will be on display in the Museum for 6 weeks, Friday 21st April until Sunday 28th May 2023 when we will hold a Wrap Up Party & Fundraising Event – more details coming soon.
