The Quay Players present MADE IN DAGENHAM

Location: The Greenwood Theatre

June 26, 2018 - July 28, 2018

In June 1968, the women of Ford Dagenham went on strike for their right to equal pay. With the support of women all over the country, the actions of these factory machinists led directly to the Equal Pay Act 1970: enshrining the right to pay equality between men and women.

Exactly 50 years later, the gender pay gap is as prominent in the news as it was during the strike. So come and join us in celebrating the Golden Anniversary of the start of our journey to equal pay. In the words of Rita O’Grady – “if not now, when?”
