They’re Back! The Fiya House Hip Hop Weekender returns to The Scoop this August. August 5th and 6th 12 – 10PM  This FREE programme features interactive workshops for all the family, pop-up performances from world-renowned dance artists, youth crews and incredible live DJs, bringing together local people to celebrate community spirit. Saturday 5th is Family Day and Sunday 6th is Social Dance Day. Sign up on the day for workshops, watch a dance battle or join one if you dare! All beside the most famous river in the world. Part of London Bridge City’s Summer by the River Festival. The Hip Hop Weekender is presented by Fiya House, commissioned by Team London Bridge, and supported by The Scoop and Summer by the River Festival.

On October 7th, South London based organisation Ugly Duck is organising a dynamic contemporary performances show: @Disturbance. After 6 months of forced hibernation Ugly Duck is excited to open up the tannery’s doors with a night of exciting work performed to live and virtual audiences. Based around the exploration power dynamics, representations of queer bodies, identities and sexualities @Disturbance is an exciting showcase of works that will transcend the boundaries between digital & physical into a incandescent evening IRL (25 seats respecting social distance) and live streamed. Working with the promising computer artist from Goldsmith University, Robert Hall (B-Side Live) promises the online viewers an out of the ordinary, original visual experience. In between each performance the audience will be invited to discover fabolous work by video artists Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley, Sandra Araújo, Shu Lea Cheang exploring similar themes. Find out more Ugly Duck encourages engagement in the arts by working alongside communities and revitalising underused spaces, turning empty buildings into local assets through a curated programme of creative projects. At 47/49 Tanner Street London Bridge, Ugly Duck has shone light into a magical and complex building.
