London Festival of Architecture 2022

Published on 16th May 2022

The London Festival of Architecture is a month long celebration of architecture and city-making, taking place every June across London. The Festival’s mission is to open up discussions around architecture, test new ideas and uncover and promote new talent. What makes the LFA unique is that the LFA programme is people-led and curated by event organisers; we believe in the power of collaboration with the people who live, shape, and truly know London. It’s the breadth and creativity of this community of event organisers that delivers such a varied and engaging programme of events for the festival each June. This year’s theme: ACT. Check the full programme for all events 1-30 June, including: Walk the Low Line 11 June Engineering nature – London Bridge Green Streets pilot, 15 June Zero Carbon London Bridge 23-30 June

A Hive of Activity at Buzzing Borough Market

Published on 23rd May 2018

Join Borough Market for a day of un-bee-lievable inspiration on how to support urban bees, as part of Chelsea Fringe.  The Market Hall will be buzzing with bee experts who’ll be on hand to dispense inspiring planting ideas for urban spaces, as well as sharing their expertise about hives and urban bee keeping. Local author of ‘Planting for Honey Bees: the growers guide to creating a buzz’, Sarah Wyndham-Lewis will stop by for a live chat, plus there’ll be a chance to meet Dale Gibson of Bermondsey Street Bees. You won’t want to miss the honey cookery demonstration with chef Angela Clutton from 1-2.30pm, plus a special visit from Bee Friendly Trust and their troupe of Waggle dancers! The event is free to all, and will take place in the Market Hall on the 25th May, 10-4pm. Full details
