The Friends of Southwark Cathedral Christmas Market

Friday 30 November 11am – 7pm Saturday 1 December 10am – 5pm Sunday 2 December 10am – 5pm Come and join in this popular event with fabulous stalls, music and seasonal refreshments at Southwark Cathedral. Stalls include; Roz Lowe Ceramics – Hand made pots for the home and garden. Dandelion Silver – Jewellery made from vintage sterling silver cutlery. The Moon Up Above – Sculptured narrative jewellery using silver, bronze and copper.  Inspired by the natural world. Cherubim Kids – Baby and children’s clothes, tut’s, baby-suits, hats, booties and bibs. Rainbow Cushions – Appliqued silk cushions, bags, purses – some made from upcycled fabrics. Silver Gem Gifts – A broad range of quality scarves, hats and gloves in a variety of styles and fabrics. Susan Crame Ceramics – Porcelain ceramics, tableware including vases, bowls, jugs, trinket bowls.  Glazes are pastel shades of green, blue and lemon. Country Essentials – Hats and accessories, scarves, snoods, capes, ponchos. Kissing Princes – Bespoke hand-made jewellery with a fairy-tale twist. Emma Crossley Makes – Handmade buttons, knitting accessories, hand-sewn project bags, novelty skirts and aprons as well as sterling silver and resin jewellery. Peter Noy Woodturning – Handmade wooden bowls, pens, vases, clocks and tealights amongst other gifts made by hand. Jamface Chilli Jam – Delicious home-made chilli jam. Chapman’s Aromatics – Aromatic products made with herbs and essential oils to include soap, bath salts and melts, foot and hand creams. Victory Soaps – Soaps and art packaging includes specially themed gift sets. All Fired Up – Handmade Dichroic glass jewellery, scarves, beeswax hand and skincare products. Ian Anderson – Spectacle cases with classic, fun and avant garde designs. Upper Glass – Hand-made glass Christmas decorations and bowls, plates and other giftware.  Fused glass, copper-foiled glass and lead panels. Peak Jewellery – Sculptural sterling silver jewellery inspired by mountain landscapes. Khamis Elzeki – Handmade jewellery of European origin. Phoebus Jewellery and Photography – Artisan jewellery and original photographs. Milenka Designs – Children’s gifts, aprons, personalised bookmarks and door hangers, soft toys and lots more. Portssonachan Hotel – Treat yourself to a break in this beautifully located Scottish hotel. Catcuddles Sanctuary – Hand-made cat inspired gifts. All funds help go back to ur sanctuary looking after unwanted cats in SE London. Seasonal Music  There will be choirs performing in the Cathedral on the Saturday afternoon; Bermondsey Voices, Clapham Chorus, Borough Market Choir and the Welsh Chapel Choir.

Christmas by the River

This December, a mystical light will sparkle through London as Christmas by the River returns to illuminate London Bridge City into the Capital’s most scenic Christmas market under the stars. Let the stars lead you over the Thames to a magical riverside retreat. Nestled between the Pier and Tower Bridge, frosted cabins bask in the beauty of the Northern Lights, enticing you to stay a while, toast the season and shelter from the cold. Throughout December, Christmas by the River will host a series of free workshops from food and drink tastings to glittery arts and crafts and storytelling, attendees will be able to participate in a range of events to ensure they’re fully prepared for the festive season.
