Check out highlights from the array of events and activities taking place this September in the vibrant area of London Bridge… Totally Thames Festival – Throughout September – Riverside Each year, Totally Thames brings London’s river to life throughout the month of September with an exciting season of arts, cultural and river events. The month-long programme runs along the 42-mile stretch of the Thames through working collaboratively with artists, local communities, river interest organisations and businesses. The season includes an exhibition following the living history of London’s boatyards, documented as part of the Working River project. Telling the stories of boat builders from Teddington to the Thames Barrier, the project has recorded the working lives of these boatyards, their history and their legacy for the river today. Chinese Food Festival at Potters Fields Park | 8th – 10th September | FREE Now in its third year, the Chinese Food Festival will return to Potters Fields Park at the foot of Tower Bridge between 8 – 10 September. The festival will feature a food fair, cooking masterclass area and discovery journey. The food fair will see over 20 food stalls offering authentic dishes including Sheng Jian Bao, Chongqing Noodles, Taiwanese fried chicken and traditional soup from Henan. Bermondsey Street Festival | 16th September – FREE The annual ‘Village Fete in the City‘ returns this September, celebrating the creativity and community of Bermondsey Street. Enjoy a rich and wide variety of experiences that reflect the characterful area at its best; from food, drink and fashion to the infamous annual dog show… Pop-up Cinema at The View from The Shard | 18th September – £35 The Extraordinary Travelling Film Show returns to The View from The Shard to continue their ‘Extraordinary’ season of films at over 800 ft above London, the UK’s Highest Cinema. Their September screening will be a late night viewing of The Big Lebowski. Dressing up as the Dude is encouraged and there’ll be an opportunity to order an Espresso Martini and macaroon pairing during the interval. Tea Total at The Courage Yard As part of Totally Thames festival, Courage Yard is putting on a one day event celebrating Britain’s intimate love affair with our favourite beverage.
