Plus, summer is here! Discover and learn new things, from the history of the land to the story behind the name Rotherhithe while enjoying the fresh air! Did you know that ‘hithe’ means ‘landing place’ a small port or harbour especially on a river in old English? The walk will start near the entrance to City Hall, at the top of the slope leading down to the Scoop on Thursday 13th June 2019 at 6:00pm, lasting approximately 90 minutes, the walk will conclude at Rotherhithe station.
