BP Big Screens 2017 | The Dream/Symphonic Variations/Marguerite and Armand  Wednesday 7 June at 7.30pm with Pre-Performance Screening from 7pm at The Scoop The Royal Ballet brings its celebrations of 70 years at the Royal Opera House to a close with a mixed programme of three of the greatest works by its Founder Choreographer Frederick Ashton. The Dream is an enchanting dance adaptation of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the breathtaking abstract work on the beauty of pure movement. Symphonic Variations is Ashton’s first masterpiece, and Marguerite and Armand, inspired by the celebrated dance partnership of Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev, is a tragic love story of great lyrical beauty. The Scoop at More London

Set along the southern bank of the river Thames, The Scoop at More London is an outdoor sunken amphitheatre with seating for 1000. From June to August the venue hosts a variety of free events as part of the London Bridge City Summer Festival including sports screenings, films, music and theatre as well as local community events, food and drink beside the river. The Festival can be very popular so it is advised that you arrive early to secure your space. Check the London Bridge City website for a full listing. The Scoop at More London is open to everyone and most activities are free of charge.
