Explore the depths of the universe Through a free exhibition and events programme, the Science Gallery London’s DARK MATTER combines art, physics and philosophy. Catch a matinee at the Bridge Theatre The Bridge Theatre becomes the forest in this immersive production of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. The seating is wrapped around the action while ‘pit’ tickets allow the story to be followed on foot as the story develops around you. Marvel at SEED; a sustainable circus Seed is Circumference’s latest renewable spectacle for the whole family, a positive vision for a greener future featuring aerialists, acrobats and live music. GET ON STAGE AND MAKE YOUR OWN SHOW! The Unicorn Theatre’s creative workshops for ages 7 – 16 are back for the Summer holidays. Led by professional theatre-makers, you’ll learn great new skills and make new friends. Choose from dance, set design, drama, puppetry and more. Workshops range from a day or two days, through to our five day Play In A Week workshops. Performance-based workshops close with a sharing for friends and family. SUMMER HOLIDAY PLAY IN A WEEK Mon 5 – Fri 9 Aug | Ages 11 – 16 Drama Week: Fables for the Future If you could write your future, how would it look? In this five-day workshop we’ll form a new theatre company and work together to create our own fables for the future. Led by the Assistant Director and Movement Director from Philip Pullman’s Grimm Tales (2018-19), you’ll hone your performance and devising skills and explore improvisation techniques, script work and multi-media. Imagine the future and how the world could be, choose your story and tell it! BOOK NOW Mon 12 – Fri 16 Aug | Ages 7 – 11 Drama Week: Role Models What do you want to be when you grow up? This creative, fun and challenging workshop will explore who we are and who might like to become. We’ll create a show from scratch that uses the themes of role models and imagined futures. With support and guidance from the Director (Unicorn Associate Director Rachel Bagshaw) and our Production team you will develop your performance skills, learn how to shape your ideas into a show and explore vocal and physical performance styles. Gnomus, the caretaker of plants and stories, unearths untold facts about climate change and the environment. This bumbling, gentle giant is kind and friendly engaging families in themes of extinction and conservation. Recommended for ages 6 and over.
